Influenza is a disease you can get that kills you. The influenza epidemic of 1918 and 1919 killed many American soldiers. The epidemic was not limited to the battlefield, it spread around the world and made more than a quarter of all Americans sick. The disease killed around 25 to 50 million people worldwide,including more than 500,000 Americans.
